Chet At The Studio

The other day Chet stopped by my studio for a quick surprise visit. Chet is a designer, photographer, and, well… he is the Dude :). I didn’t want to say much about his personality, as I think it’s pretty obvious.

Chet moved to New Orleans to work as a designer for a TV company, and then ended up forming a brass band with which he tours and performs full time. He also travels a lot by himself. As a matter of fact, when he stopped by my studio, he told me that he had just returned from a three month couch surfing trip to Europe where he did what most musicians wish they had the guts to do: played thesax on the street in Paris.

In any case, here is a portrait of Chet that we improvised right after he told me he was heading out to California for 6 few weeks. Basic lighting & camera setup: SB900 through 64″PLM with a golden reflector, shot with my Nikon D300 and the 35mm f/1.8 lens at 6.3.
